OPERATION IN MARDİN AGAINST TERROR PROPAGANDA: 1 DETAINED

MARDİN – Within the scope of an investigation conducted by the Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a suspect was detained for participating in an unauthorized demonstration and march held in the Midyat district on March 21, 2021.

According to information obtained, within the framework of the investigation numbered 2021/18923 carried out by the Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect identified as H.A. is alleged to have chanted slogans in favor of the PKK/KCK armed terrorist organization, engaged in terrorist propaganda, and possessed organizational content on digital materials.

The suspect, identified as H.A., was taken into custody during an operation organized by the Midyat Police Department. Digital materials were seized during a search conducted at the suspect's residence. It was reported that the suspect would be referred to the courthouse following procedures at the police department.

In a statement made by the Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the suspect would be tried on charges of "membership in an armed terrorist organization" and "engaging in terrorist propaganda."
