TRAGIC ACCIDENT ON THE BANJA LUKA HIGHWAY

A tragic traffic accident that occurred on March 14, 2026, on the highway near the city of Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina caused great sorrow. During the nighttime hours, a vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed heavily into the roadside barriers.

Due to the severity of the impact, the car was completely wrecked, while numerous police, medical, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. Emergency responders worked for an extended period at the accident site, and traffic on the highway was controlled following the incident.

Official investigations later identified the deceased as Hasan Bayar, a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye. Following the autopsy procedures carried out by authorities, it was learned that the body remained unclaimed for a certain period of time.

After the completion of official procedures by Bosnian authorities, the deceased was buried in a Muslim cemetery in Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with religious traditions.

Authorities stated that the investigation into the accident is still ongoing and that the exact cause of the crash will become clear after technical examinations are completed.
